Do I need to be a member of the golf course to take lessons?
No. Up To Par Golf lessons are open to everyone — no membership required. We teach at Cedar Creek Golf Course in Bayville, NJ, and all instruction is by appointment only.
How do I book a lesson?
I'm a complete beginner. Are lessons right for me?
Absolutely. We teach golfers of every level — first-timers, juniors, women, seniors, and experienced players looking to sharpen up. Every student starts with a goals conversation, and your plan is built around your starting point.
What should I bring to my first lesson?
Bring your own clubs if you have them, along with comfortable clothes and golf or athletic shoes. If you don't own clubs yet, let us know when you book and we'll have a set ready for you to use.
What technology do you use during lessons?
Every lesson uses tour-grade tools: FlightScope and Foresight GC3S launch monitors, a BodiTrak pressure mat, and live video analysis. After your lesson, an annotated
video review is emailed to your student portal to study at your own pace.
Do you offer indoor or winter lessons?
Yes. Instruction is year-round. When the weather turns, lessons move into our indoor studio with the same launch-monitor technology, so you can keep improving through the off-season and arrive at spring ready to play.
What's the difference between private, semi-private, group, and playing lessons?
Private lessons are one-on-one for the most focused attention. Semi-private lessons are for two students sharing the rate. Group lessons cover 3 to 5 players. Playing lessons take instruction onto the course, working on strategy and shot-making in real situations. Compare them all on our

How many lessons will I need?
It depends on your goals and starting point. After your first lesson we put together package options tailored to where you are and where you want to be. Many students see improvement within their first one or two sessions.
How much do lessons cost?
Private lessons start at $50, semi-private from $80, group from $100, and playing lessons from $100. Multi-lesson packages are available. See each

What is your cancellation policy?
Plans change — we get it. You can cancel or reschedule yourself anytime through your
Coaches Caddy student portal. Cancel with at least 24 hours' notice and there's no charge; a cancellation within 24 hours is a $20 fee, and a same-day cancellation is $40. You can also reschedule up to two times per lesson with at least 12 hours' notice. For package lessons, a late or same-day cancellation — or a no-show — forfeits that lesson's credit.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes. Gift certificates make a great present for any golfer and can be used toward any lesson type. Visit our
